Founded in June 1996,
Versity Tal-Qroqq Amateur Football Club has ever since been affiliated and
participated in the competitions organised by the Malta Amateur Football
Association.
The club's origins know its existence to Rudolph
Psaila, Daniel Camillleri and Claudio Bondin, at that time 19 year old
university students. The aim has always been to consistently form a group of
players who apart from playing and enjoying the football game at an amateur
level it creates a social and friendly atmosphere amongst the team members.
In fact one can say that this original goal was achieved and the team
continues to strive due to the unity of its members. The ambitions are
simple: Enjoy the Game. With limited resources but a great determination by
all concerned, the team did manage on various occasions to have its own say
and also managed to win some honours along its short but enjoyable
existence.
The current committee continues to look into the
unity as the team's driving force and hope that the feel-good factor takes
the team to further success
